About Women's Credor

Seiko Credor - Japan's answer to luxury watchmaking

Credor is a line of wristwatches by the Japanese watchmaker Seiko. The line was first released in 1974 as a collection of Seiko's higher end models rather than the stand-alone sub-brand of Seiko that we know and love today. The Credor name has become synonymous with sophistication in the Japanese watch sphere, due to the line's timeless style and Seiko's masterful technology going into every timepiece. For those who want class and innovation in a single wristwatch, look no further than Seiko Credor.

Seiko first created the Credor brand in 1974, however, when the line first launched it was as a collection of high-end wristwatches, rather than the stand-alone brand that we see today. During this early period of the Credor brand, Seiko produced a number of wristwatches made from precious metals and stones to compete in the domestic market with European luxury watch brands such as Rolex and Patek Phillipe.

Credor continued to grow from strength to strength in the 40 years since its original debut, now being one of the most recognizable and iconic luxury watch brands in Japan. Even though it is a household name in Japan, Credor has only just recently been made officially available outside its home country. Credor has become somewhat of a cult classic on the watch collecting scene due to their classic design and level of craftsmanship that goes into each watch.

One of Credor's most popular watches is the Eichi II, a watch that is minimalist in design, but expressive when it comes to its technology. The Seiko Credor Eichi II has platinum bezels, a hand-painted porcelain dial, and a Spring Dive movement. The Eichi II was made in incredibly small numbers which has made it the holy grail of many a watch enthusiasts collection. For those who enjoy a simpler take on opulence, look no further than Seiko Credor.
