Love Live! Sunshine!! Ruby Kurosawa - the youngest Kurosawa sister!
Ruby Kurosawa is one of the main characters of Love Live Sunshine (stylized as Love Live! Sunshine!!), a Japanese multimedia project co-developed by ASCII Media Works's Dengeki G's Magazine, music label Lantis and animation studio Sunrise. The series is a spinoff from Love Live and revolves around a group of nine schoolgirl friends who create the idol group known as Aqours in order to save their school from shutting down. Love Live Sunshine launched in August 2015 with music CDs and accompanying anime music videos. Ruby Kurosawa is the younger sister of and one of the nine members of Aqours. She is also a member of Aqours' sub-unit CYaRon.

Ruby Kurosawa is a first-year student at Uronohoshi Girls' High School and the younger sister of Dia Kurosawa, whom she shares a strong bond with. Ruby is also the best friend of fellow Aqours member, Hanamaru Kunikida. She and Hanamaru are approached by Chika Takami to join the school idol club, but Ruby is hesitant to join due to her older sister Dia's previous failure with school idols. However, Ruby love for school idols is unchanged by this event and she eventually joins Aqours after getting her sister's support.
Ruby is very shy and finds it hard to socialize with other people. However, when upset she has a tendency to scream "pigii!", her face turning bright red in the process. While Ruby is quite sensitive and fearful, she is actually very tough in the inside, due to her background as the daughter of a rich, well-known family. Ruby is also quite adaptable, with her friends supporting her no matter what.
Outside of her idol duties, Ruby enjoys making clothes and fashion in general. She is talented in coordinating outfits and shares the responsibility of the Aqours' stylish with You Watanabe. Ruby has been a fan of idols since she was very young, following in her sister's footsteps. Ruby is played voiced by Ai Furihata in the anime and game versions of Love Live Sunshine.
