Sakura versions of Hatsune Miku had been seen in Hatsune Miku fan creations for many years before she officially became a canon version of the character. Good Smile Company's release of Sakura Miku's first Nendoroid in 2011 solidified her design and the much-loved Sakura Miku of today was born. Sakura Miku is often depicted with two cherries or cherry blossoms in her signature twintail hairstyle and completely pink. The idea of releasing an official Sakura Miku figure was inspired by the popularity of Snow Miku.

Many popular artists have collaborated with Good Smile Company and other figure manufacturers to create beautifully detailed Sakura Miku figures. Outside of her extremely popular figures, Sakura Miku is also available as plushies, mascots, towels, prize figures, and much more!
