Fate/EXTELLA is an action video game, based on the universe of the Fate franchise, developed and published by Marvelous. As in other games in the series, the player can summon warriors known as "Servants". There are sixteen playable Servants in the game divided into the classes Saber, Caster, Archer, Lancer, Assassin, Rider, Berserker, and Extra. The fighting styles of the respective Servants are based on their assigned class.

Fate/EXTELLA takes place after the events of the Holy Grail War in the first game in the series, Fate/Extra. At the end of Fate/Extra, the Saber class Nero and her Master have won the war, giving them control over the Moon Cell Automation computer and the Holy Grail. In Fate/EXTELLA the Caster class Servant Tamamo-no-Mae challenges Nero for control of the Moon Cell. In Nero's party, you can control the Servants Nameless, Gawain, Cu Chulainn, and Li Shuwen. For Tamamo-no-Mae's party, you can use Karna, Elizabeth Bathory, Lu Bu Fengxian, and Medusa. Altera's party consists of Gilgamesh, Jeanne d'Arc, and Iskandar.

The Japanese version of Fate/EXTELLA was released in 2016 on the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita, with an English translation of the game released a year later in 2017. Although Type-Moon did not develop or publish the game, Type-Moon co-founder Kinoko Nasu served as Fate/EXTELLA's scenario writer.
