Tomoyo Daidouji - Sakura Kinomoto's right hand girl!
Tomoyo Daidouji is one of the main characters of the manga series Cardcaptor Sakura (often abbreviated as CCS and localized into English as "Cardcaptors"), a Japanese magical girl manga series illustrated and written by the manga group Clamp. The original manga series was serialized from May 1996 to June 2000 in the shojo manga magazine Nakayoshi. The series was incredibly popular, spawning a 70-episode TV anime adaptation, video games, art books, and picture books. A manga sequel to the series, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, began serializing in 2016. Tomoyo also appears in two of Clamp's later manga series, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle and xxxHolic. Tomoyo is the best friend of Sakura and acts as her assistant, videoing her adventures and providing her with elaborate costumes used for battle.

Tomoyo Daidouji is the best friend of Sakura Kinomoto, acting as her assistant throughout the series, providing costumes for Sakura and videoing her adventures. Tomoyo and Sakura are second cousins on their mother's side. Being the daughter of the president of the Daidoji Toy Company, Sonomi Daidoji, Tomoyo leads a life of wealth and is watched over by a team of bodyguards and maids.
Tomoyo is incredibly dedicated and selfless when it comes to Sakura, to the point where she developed romantic feelings towards her, although Sakura is unaware of this. Despite her own feelings for Sakura, she aids Sakura's efforts in becoming closer with Yukito Tsukishiro, and later Syaoran Li. Tomoyo is kinda, mature, and polite, always talking in honorifics, which sets her apart as the most refined member of the Cardcaptor Sakura cast.
In the localized version of Cardcaptor Sakura, known as Cardcaptors, many changes are made to her character. Her name is changed to Madison Taylor, and references to Tomoyo's crush on Sakura and their relationship as second cousins is removed completely. In the Japanese version of the anime, Tomoyo is voiced by Junko Iwao, with Maggie Blue O'Hara providing Tomoyo's English voice in Cardcaptors.
